Boston Dynamics is seeking a Software Support Engineer to join our multidisciplinary robotics team to provide software service for our robot fleet. Help us deliver our exciting new Spot robot and its myriad advanced software features in controls, perception, and manipulation to our growing customer base.
We are looking for engineers who are genuinely interested in customer support while growing their software and robotics skills.
Day to day activities:
Processing incoming service reports.
Helping new customers get started, robot configuration, licensing, etc.
Understanding and reproducing bugs in the lab, reviewing logs.
Fixing bugs / Triaging bugs to development.
Communicating progress and results in the field.
Phone/email/chat interactive live debugging with customers.
Follow-up with the quality team to ensure fixed bugs stay fixed.
Suggesting new features based on personal and customer feedback.
Linux, Bash, C++.
Solid math skills especially 3D geometry, trig, understanding plots, and graphs.
Robotics or Software Support experience.
BA or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, Math or equivalent experience.
